Abintegro, the UK’s most adopted careers platform for universities, has become the exclusive CareerEDGE+ technology partner, further supporting universities in making a measurable impact on the employability of students at scale using a globally recognised methodology.
Created in 2007 by Dr Lorraine Dacre Pool and Dr Peter Sewell, CareerEDGE is a globally recognised model for developing graduate employability used by hundreds of universities and is now being updated to CareerEDGE+.
Used by the careers teams of over 75% of UK universities and a growing number in Australia and New Zealand, Abintegro’s Career Centre platform already supports the employability development of hundreds of thousands of students each year via its online assessment and programmes of activity.
The partnership will enable institutions considering implementing CareerEDGE+ to do so with ease. For the first time, CareerEDGE+ and specifically the soon to be developed CareerEDGE+ Profile (replacing the Employability Development Profile) will be digitally accessible to every student within a university. Based on their responses to the questions in the profile, the students will be able to benefit from prescribed online programmes of development activities, to enhance their employability confidence. As they re-score their CareerEDGE+ Profile after completing these activities, the university will also gain valuable evidence of increases in employability confidence in real-time, based on a validated model of graduate employability.
Commenting on the partnership, Dr Lorraine Dacre Pool and Dr Peter Sewell said:
“Our partnership with Abintegro will enable careers teams to implement CareerEDGE+ and analyse employability confidence in real time and consistently across courses and programmes. We are delighted to be working with Abintegro and consider this to be a positive next step in our journey to empowering students and supporting universities to enhance employability in the changing world of higher education, employment and technology.”
“This is a unique and an incredibly exciting partnership,” said Tony Heard, Managing Director of Abintegro.
“Making a measurable difference to student employability and graduate outcomes is at the heart of what we do and combining a world-renowned graduate employability model with our market-leading platform represents an important step forward in this journey.”
CareerEDGE+ is one of many employability models Abintegro has digitised for clients on the Career Centre platform. Other examples include Careers Registration and Graduate Capitals, with international clients reviewing the A-GRADES (Australian Graduates Employability Scale) model.
