Abintegro, the online content and technology solution for career services, in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University, hosted its inaugural University Client Forum this week, to share best practice within university career services.
Representatives from 40 universities attended to discuss challenges for careers services in higher education in the UK, and how technology is best configured to drive improved student outcomes.
The ability to engage students with the careers function, providing support for alumni, running employability programmes and mobile responsiveness were the key themes highlighted by the 70+ careers experts from a broad cross-section of universities, providing clear insight into the challenges faced by today’s careers services.
In the last year, 150,000 students from 75 institutions completed 1.25 million activities within Abintegro, showing that Abintegro interactive tools, content and assessments are contributing to the employability skills and career choices of many young people.
“We feel a huge weight of responsibility to make sure the time invested by students (and supporting staff) leads to a positive outcome” said Abintegro Managing Director, Tony Heard. “The Client Forum is a key opportunity to share best practice use of Abintegro services within UK academic institutions, and ensure our product and content roadmap is driven by our clients – the university careers experts.”
